We are a brand new private, Christian preschool looking to make a difference in the community through the love of Jesus. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction, emotional growth, and positive behavior management.
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress in areas such as language development, cognitive skills, and motor abilities, including standardized testing when applicable.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote childhood development, including toddler care and early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
- Manage classroom routines effectively to ensure safety, discipline, and smooth daily operations while maintaining classroom management best practices.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to Montessori methods, childcare best practices, and early intervention techniques to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development and literacy education strategies.
- Knowledge of special education needs and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Certification in early childhood education or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in Montessori or toddler care are a plus.
