Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and other innovative teaching techniques to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Support children with special education needs through tailored activities and early intervention strategies to foster inclusive learning experiences.
  • Manage classroom routines effectively, ensuring smooth transitions between activities while maintaining discipline and promoting child welfare.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication to discuss progress, developmental milestones, and behavioral concerns.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instruction; provide tutoring or additional support as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior private school experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs or require early intervention services.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field; Montessori certification is desirable.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
