Preschool Teacher

Delphi Academy of Florida is a private, non-sectarian, competency-based Preschool–High School in Clearwater, Florida. Our enrollment has rapidly grown in recent years, with a strong waiting list of families eager to join our community. We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to lead one of our early childhood classrooms and contribute to the exceptional experience we provide to our youngest learners.

Director Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a positive, nurturing educational environment for young children
  • Implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and support individualized learning plans
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and developmental progress
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with parents and families

Qualifications

  • Required: Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (fully licensed)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 2–5), including leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education standards and licensing requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with both children and adults
  • Patient, organized, nurturing, and energetic
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with staff, students, and families
  • Computer proficiency, including managing online systems and classroom communications
  • Passionate about early childhood education and child development
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma (Associate’s or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred)
