The Multicultural Community Center(MCC) is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team. Position Summary
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate educational experiences that promote children's social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about early childhood education, committed to fostering positive relationships, and dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through purposeful play and instruction.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress and development.
- Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student growth and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success.
- Utilize positive behavior guidance techniques to promote a productive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all licensing and Preschool for All requirements.
Qualifications Required
- Gateways Level 5 Credential or Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment.
Preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum planning, assessment, and lesson development.
- Knowledge of special education supports, inclusion practices, and early intervention strategies.

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- Day shift
- No evenings
- No weekends
