Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to child welfare and a desire to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves educating preschool-aged children through engaging activities, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development while implementing a curriculum that promotes creativity and exploration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote holistic development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages children to express themselves freely.
- Teach physical education activities that enhance children's motor skills and promote healthy lifestyles.
- Assess children's progress regularly and provide individualized support as needed, including tutoring for those who may require additional assistance.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives, integrating Montessori principles where applicable to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom space conducive to learning and play.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Support children's hygiene needs, including diapering and bathroom assistance.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma
- For higher pay: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and special education strategies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes and the ability to create engaging lesson plans.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
- Optional: Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
