Preschool Teacher Aide

Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or preschool frameworks. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through engaging activities. Help prepare educational materials and classroom setups that promote literacy, numeracy, and hands-on learning experiences. Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being at all times. Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, providing tailored support and encouragement. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters learning and safety for all students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.

Requirements
Previous experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children. Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a safe, nurturing environment. Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
