Pay is dependent on credentials, full-time or part-time status, and experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Help children learn/grow by using a positive, appropriate approach in a consistent manner
• Provide modeling and assist in children learning independent life skills
• Assist the teacher in planning activities for the group
• Model cooperation and a supportive ‘team’ attitude in the classroom
• Assist the teacher in all requested areas including changing diapers and toilet training
• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all time
• Assistant positions are 12 months full-time & part time available

Requirements

• CDA, AA, or AS in Early Childhood Education Preferred
• Complete the state-required DCF 45-hour Child Care Training course and all background screenings/coursework required for our Apple Accreditation
• Keep all credentials current and on file with DCF and with the center
• Prior experience with young children preferable-early childhood setting, babysitting, nannying, etc.
• MUST speak fluent English; Hebrew and/or Spanish is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
