Preschool Teacher Assistant / 7 Week Summer Program

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Classroom Aide to join our team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Your primary focus will be to assist with daily classroom activities, promote social and emotional development, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with young learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and nap times.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Support children in developing social skills through guided interactions.
• Monitor children's behavior and provide positive reinforcement.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
• Patience and understanding when working with young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of child development principles is preferred but not required.
• Creativity in planning activities that engage children's interests.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom dynamics and needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
