The Gordon JCC Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) is seeking a warm, dependable and collaborative full-time Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. Our classrooms serve children ages 6 weeks through 5 years, and we are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood development and values teamwork.

This is a full-time position working alongside a dedicated co-teacher in a supportive, relationship-centered environment.

About Our School

The ECLC is a play-based, child-centered program focused on social-emotional development, curiosity, and community. We believe in supporting the whole child and the whole teacher. As part of the Gordon JCC, we welcome educators of all backgrounds. Responsibilities

• Partner with a co-teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum

• Foster a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

• Support children's social-emotional growth

• Maintain open and professional communication with families

• Ensure classroom safety and compliance with DHS licensing standards

• Participate in school events and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (6 weeks–5 years) preferred

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Reliable, positive and professional demeanor

• Ability to meet Tennessee DHS requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• $19–$23 per hour, based on education and experience

• Candidates with extensive experience and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field may be considered at the higher end of the pay range

• Two weeks off in the winter (December 21-January 1)

• One week in July for teacher in-service and classroom preparation (July 27-31)

• Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Passover, Memorial Day & July 4th off (8 days)
