Minimum Qualifications:

• One year experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Currently possess anAssociate Teacher Permit or Teacher Permit or be qualified to apply for and be granted the Associate Teacher or Teacher permit
• Take and pass the Infant and Child Development online class

Conditions of Hire:

• Ability to pass agency criminal background check, TB test and physical.
• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance and immunization records to influenza, pertussis, and measles.

Required qualifications to apply for an Associate Teacher Permit: Option 1: 12 units ECE/CD including core courses. Option 2: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. or to apply for a Teacher Permit: Option 1: 24 units ECE/CD including core courses plus 16 General Education (GE) units. Option 2: AA or higher in ECE/CD or related field with 3 units supervised field experience in ECE/CD setting

Job Description Summary: Working in collaboration with classroom teaching staff, the Floating Preschool Teacher is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a high-quality early childhood education program. This role focuses on promoting the physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development of children through developmentally appropriate practices. The Floating Teacher serves across two sites (Santa Rosa, and Healdsburg) working in two program classrooms (preschool and infant/toddler), providing flexible coverage (open, close and breaks) and consistent instructional support. This position is supervised by the Site Supervisor and Director of Childcare Services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
