Preschool Teacher - Part Time

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at First Wave Families Patty Center for Family Support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role is essential in guiding children through their formative years, ensuring their emotional, social, and educational growth.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote childhood development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess student progress through observations and assessments.
• Provide individualized support for students, including those requiring early intervention or specialized tutoring.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss child welfare, progress, and any concerns regarding their development.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices.
• Experience in classroom management
• Familiarity with Teaching Strategies Curriculum is preferred
• Previous experience with toddler care is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
