Gan Haverim Preschool in Davis is looking for a flexible preschool teacher to join our growing team of dedicated teachers. Gan Haverim is dedicated to providing small teacher to student ratios in order to focus on the individual needs of each Child. Our program uses play-based philosophy (Reggio-Emilia) with mixed age groups. We offer a kind, loving environment for our children and families where everyone feels welcome.

Applicants must have the 12 core ECE/HD units to join our team. Classroom experience and the ability to manage classroom behavior is preferred.

We are looking for a passionate teacher who wants to create a supportive learning environment, that supports exploration, with a commitment to playfulness.

Job duties and tasks would include:

* Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of each child

* Maintain ongoing communication with parents through daily interactions

* Coordinate daily responsibilities with other teaching staff.

* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities using a play-based approach.

* Show acceptance, respect and compassion towards all children and families.

*Other duties as assigned

Ability to lift to 30 lbs., bend, stoop, and squat throughout the day. Ability to stand for an extended period.

CPR certification, TB clearance, updated immunizations and fingerprint clearance must be completed before starting position.
