Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher in a Pre-K classroom, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity and growth. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters early learning, social-emotional skills, and foundational literacy and numeracy. Duties

  • Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development tailored to preschool age groups.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence.
  • Support children’s social-emotional development by creating engaging activities that encourage communication skills, self-regulation, and peer interaction.
  • Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including children requiring additional support in special education or developmental areas.
  • Conduct assessments of children’s progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate, adjusting instruction to support individual growth in literacy education, math, physical education, and other core areas. Knowledge of "Teaching Strategies Gold" is a plus!
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to ensure comprehensive child welfare and consistent developmental support across all aspects of childcare.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and safe toddler care practices while managing daily routines efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development frameworks such as Montessori or other early childhood educational models.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons across subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to use an I-Pad to enter data.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in special education or toddler care is a plus. AA degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited university or college is required.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
