CASY Preschool is hiring kind-hearted teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Our preschool is currently seeking a professional with an ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, and the determination to work well with children of all ages. The right candidate will be dedicated to creating a fun, educational and stimulating environment for our preschoolers. Candidates should have experience in teaching young children as well as a fondness for working toddlers.
This position requires the employee to collaborate effectively within a team environment. All teachers will be paired with a teaching partner to support shared success.
This position will start in July 2026.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience (minimum) at a licensed school or preschool program.
- Bachelors degree in early childhood education or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Experience creating monthly lessons plans for classroom.
- Ability to coordinate tasks with a teaching partner.
- Takes initiative and satisfaction from being productive throughout the school day.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must show proof of a negative TB test upon hire.
- Will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.
- Physical requirements: includes, but is not limited to, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitious hand and body movements.
- May be required to move or lift approximately 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an activity plan that appeals to the academic needs and interests of the children.
- Prepare monthly lesson plans and activities for the children.
- Prepare afternoon snack for children.
- Respond to questions from parents.
- Inform parents about their children's development and needs.
- Maintain regular communication with school administrators.
- Appropriately handle emergencies that occur in the classroom.
- Ability to manage classroom effectively.
- Ability to work with a teaching partner and independently, as needed.
- Record student progress using a variety of assessment tools.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and obtain continued education training hours annually.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Follow end-of-day closing protocol.
- Follow quality assurance measures to maintain excellence of program offerings, operations, and state licensure.
