Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among preschool-aged children.
• Plan engaging lessons aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Conduct assessments of children’s progress using standardized testing tools and maintain detailed records of developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and upcoming activities to foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, share best practices in childhood development, and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Uphold child welfare standards by ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed within the classroom and play areas.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, classroom management, and childcare best practices.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is recommended; familiarity with classroom management and lesson planning is highly valued.
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, co-workers.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
