Job Overview:
The Teacher's Aide supports the lead teacher in delivering a positive and productive learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and individualized student support to foster a nurturing educational experience focusing on safety and supervision. We are looking for someone who has flexible hours (around 15 to 19 hours a week).
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain NAEYC Accreditation Standards and practices.

Comply with DHS Child Care Licensing Hawaii Administrative Rules.

Work with individuals or small groups of children as directed by the lead teacher.

Assist the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities, lessons, and materials.

Assist in assessing and documenting student progress and behavior.

Assist with mealtime preparations and nap-time support.
-
Monitor student behavior and enforce school policies to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.

Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to support learning objectives.

Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness such as cleaning, sanitizing, toileting, and diapering, plus managing supplies and resources.

Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner when dealing with children, other staff or parents, or during school activities on or off campus.

Be sensitive and responsive to children's needs.

Use positive modeling and behavior management.

Follow school policies and procedures (maintain confidentiality).

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age and have some experience working with young children.

Must meet state licensing requirements (Medical, TB, and criminal history clearance).

Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

CPR/First Aid certification.
