Early Childhood Lead and Assistant Teachers

The One School early childhood learning center is located at Temple Beth Am in Jupiter, FL. We serve 140 children through a play based and reggio-inspired curriculum. The One School offers programs for children ages 18 months through age 5, including VPK and summer camp.

We provide an environment that facilitates the development of self-confidence, initiative, and positive self-image, as well as a feeling of belonging, love and respect, through a joyous learning environment that stimulates children's minds, nurtures their souls, and encourages them to embrace wonder and the beauty of our Jewish heritage. Our goal is to foster the growth of self- confidence, initiative and positive image, as well as a feeling of belonging, love and respect.

We are looking for full time lead teachers, and assistant teachers as well as part time aftercare teachers to join our team. We looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, is dedicated to providing an excellent education and care, and can work collaboratively as part of the education team.

Duties:

- Work collaboratively with teaching team to plan and implement curriculum

- Nurture the growth, development and success of each child

- Communicate with parents including about progress and concerns related to students.

- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and safe environment in the classroom

- Follow all policies of The One School, Temple Beth Am, and all regulating agencies

Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent communication, including written and oral skills

- Strong interpersonal skills- ability to work well with others a must!

-Comfortable with technology including Microsoft word and Brightwheel, or willing to learn.

- Judaic knowledge a plus

- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education methods and best practices

Qualifications:

-Ability to pass all organization and state background checks

- 18 years old with High School Diploma or GED for assistant teachers and aides, early childhood coursework and associates degree required for lead teachers. Bachelors degree preferred.

- CPR Certification and 45 hour childcare course- or willingness to acquire

- Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend down, and work indoors and outdoors
