Preschool Team Lead Teacher

Early Bloomers Child Care in Arlington is seeking a strong, experienced Preschool Teacher to step into a Team Lead role within our program.

This position is ideal for someone who not only loves working with preschool-aged children, but is also ready to take the next step into leadership. As our Preschool Team Lead, you will lead your classroom while also supporting the overall flow of the center when leadership is off-site or attending to other responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is confident, dependable, and takes pride in both their classroom and their role as a leader within the team.

What This Role Looks Like

You will serve as the lead preschool teacher in your classroom while also acting as a support to the leadership team. This includes helping maintain consistency, professionalism, and positive team culture throughout the center.

This is not a director role, but it is a leadership position that plays an important part in daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a preschool classroom with intention, structure, and care
  • Create a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with children and families
  • Support social emotional development and kindergarten readiness
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing standards
  • Step in to support staff and classrooms as needed
  • Help maintain smooth daily operations when leadership is unavailable
  • Model professionalism, positivity, and strong communication for the team

Qualifications

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children required
  • Meets DCYF requirements for early learning staff
  • Previous leadership or lead teacher experience preferred
  • Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized, reliable, and able to take initiative
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
