Duties

  • Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum for preshool aged children, including literacy, math and physical development
  • Help create and maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and effective classroom management
  • Collaborate with other teachers to plan and execute lesson plans that align with childhood development milestones and early intervention strategies
  • Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special education needs to ensure their welfare and developmental progress
  • Maintain clear communication with parents and team members regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities
  • Support classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and managing daily routines in a daycare or preschool setting

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare environment, including preschool experience and private school settings
  • Knowledge of special education techniques and early intervention programs to support diverse learners
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members using positive reinforcement strategies
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments
  • Skills in tutoring or teaching physical education to promote healthy development and motor skills
  • Experience with curriculum development that integrates literacy education, math concepts, and other educational frameworks

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
