Press Assistant

Republican Senator seeks a press assistant to join an active communications team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: producing digital media content, photographing events, editing photos and videos, compiling daily news clips for timely distribution, maintaining press lists, drafting newsletters, and assisting the communications team with various media and writing projects. Qualified applicants must possess strong writing and proofreading skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in politics, media, and strategic communications. Previous internship or work experience in a Congressional office is preferred, including prior work in a communications field. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) is a plus. The press assistant will report to the communications director and work closely with the communications team to advance the senator’s agenda.
