Pressure Welder (Pipe Welding/Pipe Welder) (WLD-3, WLD-4)

Position: Welder for Pressure Retaining Assemblies (Pipe). Job Class: WLD-3, WLD-4

Pay: $27-$30/hr. ($90,000-$105,000 is the current annual wage for Steelcon pressure welders, which includes bonuses). Eligible for the first wage increase at initial review at 60 days.

Work Schedule: 50-55 hr./week depending on workload, Monday-Friday, Saturday as needed (Steelcon utilizes flex time, facility open 6.00 AM to 6.00 PM to get weekly required hours)

Travel Requirements: No

Job Duties:

1. Pressure Fitting and Welding Pipe/Spools

3. Material processing as needed (cutting, burning, drilling)

General Requirements:

1. Pass pre-employment and random drug tests

2. Team Player-Communicates well with others-Good work attitude

3. Educational: GED or high school diploma

4. Basic computer/tablet knowledge

5. Dependable

6. OSHA 10 Hour

7. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work kneeling down as needed

8. Lift up to 50 lbs.

Technical Requirements:

1. Pass ASME Section IX, 6G NPS 2.5” XXH with GMAW and FCAW process

2. Proficient Pipe Welder and fitter, understand and implement required WPS’s

Beneficial Attributes:

1. Sub Arc Welding Operator, Robotic Welding Operator

2. Proficient in other weld processes (GTAW, GMAW)
