Recovery Driver – Prestige Vehicle Recovery

Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Westbourne Motors is looking for a professional and customer-focused Recovery Driver to join our growing team. This role will primarily involve prestige vehicle recovery using a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 7C15 43 recovery vehicle, although other specialist recovery vehicles may be used from time to time.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service and handling high-value vehicles with care and professionalism.

About Us

Westbourne Motors provides roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, workshop repair services, secure vehicle storage, and accident aftercare support across Southern England. We operate from multiple locations with modern workshops and a large fleet of rescue and recovery vehicles.

The Role

As a Recovery Driver, you will:

• Recover prestige and specialist vehicles safely and professionally
• Attend roadside breakdowns and accidents at homes, roadsides, and other locations across the UK
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers at all times
• Deliver exceptional customer service during potentially stressful situations
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain high presentation standards for allocated vehicles
• Represent Westbourne Motors professionally at all times
• Work closely with our operations and workshop teams

Vehicle Used

The role will primarily involve operating a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter recovery vehicle.

Other company recovery vehicles may also be used depending on operational requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence and Class C licence
• Professional HGV driving experience
• Professional and courteous manner
• Strong customer service skills
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to work independently
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Desirable:

• Previous vehicle recovery or roadside assistance experience
• Experience handling prestige or specialist vehicles
• Recovery experience (training can be provided)

Pay & Benefits

• Basic salary: £33,046 per year
• Attendance, presentation & productivity bonus: up to £3,600 per year

• Company-funded industry training including IVR 1, 2 & 3 certifications

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Typical shift pattern: 07:00 – 18:00 (depending on operational requirements)

Due to the emergency nature of the industry, flexibility outside scheduled hours may occasionally be required.

Training

Full induction and training provided over a two-week period, including nationally recognised recovery certification.

Pay: £33,046.00-£42,000.00 per year
