Pricing Estimator (U.S Market)

AESOM is hiring an experienced Pricing Estimator to support cost estimations for U.S.-based construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of U.S. market rates, GC-level pricing, quantity takeoffs, and pricing databases like RSMeans.

This role requires deep familiarity with U.S. construction practices and the ability to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive pricing proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs for residential, commercial, and institutional projects
• Develop pricing sheets and proposals in line with General Contractor (GC) expectations
• Utilize RSMeans or similar databases to ensure up-to-date, region-specific pricing
• Build and maintain internal vendor and subcontractor databases for labor, materials, and equipment
• Interpret construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications to extract relevant scope items
• Ensure pricing accuracy by coordinating with suppliers and validating against historical cost data
• Collaborate with internal teams for value engineering and scope clarification
• Support cost breakdowns across all MEP and architectural divisions as required
• Assist in identifying scope gaps and risk items in bid packages
• Prepare bid packages and respond to inquiries from U.S.-based clients and contractors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction cost estimation (U.S. market)
• Proficiency in takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or OST
• Familiarity with RSMeans or other recognized U.S. pricing databases
• Solid knowledge of GC-level pricing, vendor coordination, and cost analysis
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with pricing templates
• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or contractors
• Knowledge of CSI divisions and construction cost coding systems
• Understanding of union vs. non-union labor cost differences in the U.S.
