Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Care MD to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered care across diverse populations, utilizing advanced medical knowledge and a broad skill set. This role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, performing physical examinations, and coordinating care plans to promote optimal health outcomes. The Primary Care MD will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and vital signs.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses across various age groups.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle counseling, and preventive care.
  • Utilize EHR systems such as Epic and EMR platforms to document clinical encounters accurately.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including CT scans, radiology, and laboratory results; coordinate further testing like mammography or nuclear medicine when necessary.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, basic airway management, and wound care; assist with or oversee minor surgical procedures.
  • Provide specialized care in areas such as endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, immunology, neurology, psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pediatrics, geriatrics, or other relevant fields based on expertise.
  • Collaborate with specialists for referrals involving maternal-fetal medicine, oncology, infectious disease care, or trauma medicine as needed.
  • Participate in clinical research or trials to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and ICD/CPT coding standards; maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness and disease prevention strategies.
  • Stay current with medical advancements through continuous learning and professional development.

Experience

  • Proven experience in primary care practice within outpatient or hospital settings.
  • Familiarity with a variety of medical imaging modalities such as diagnostic radiology or nuclear medicine is preferred.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or other digital health platforms is essential.
  • Background in managing complex cases involving critical care experience or inpatient settings is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of specialized fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, or geriatrics is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform procedures including suturing, airway management, IV infusion, wound care, or catheterization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
