Primary Care Mid-Level Provider

Job Title: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Primary Care & Urgent Care)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing, locally and privately owned, medical practice on a part-time basis. This position will provide a mix of primary care and urgent care services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Predictable schedule, no on-call.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment for ages 12 and up.
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with urgent care needs
• Perform physical exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests, including bloodwork, EKG, POC testing, and outpatient imaging.
• Administer injections and perform minor procedures, including suturing, skin biopsies, I & D’s, cerumen removal, and cryotherapy.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective procedures
• Coordinate patient care through triage assessments, hospital follow ups, discharge planning, and referrals to specialists or community resources as needed
• Assist with telehealth follow up consultations to expand access to care beyond traditional in-office visits
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care

Qualifications:

• Current, active NP or PA license in the state of TN
• Board certification (AANPCB, ANCC or NCCPA)
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in primary care and/or urgent care preferred
• Experience performing in-office procedures (e.g., injections, suturing) preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Schedule:

• Part-time hours; M, W, F, some evenings or weekends.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
