Location: Warrenton, Virginia

Duration- Long Term Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provides routine and non-routine primary medical care to residents in accordance with current professional standards and all regulatory requirements.
• Makes recommendations for further evaluation or treatment, medications, and hospitalizations as needed.
• Prescribes medications only as medically necessary and only with appropriate approvals.
• Handles a broad scope of conditions, including but not limited to brain injuries, stroke, burns, and spinal cord injuries.
• Maintains EMR entries, records each consultation, and informs the agency before non-surgical methods are used.
• Consults with Medical Director, residents, and agency staff about care and participates in resident/team conferences upon request.
• Focuses on comprehensive and person-centered care, expanding available resources for patients.
• Provides staff in-service sessions and consults on program development/advisory, complying with CMS and all relevant standards.
• Must be available for approximately 6–8 hours per month for medical administrative work and may see residents at the facility and (after written authorization) offsite if necessary.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.59 - $32.02 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
