Position: Primary Care Physician
Location: Corcoran, CA

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Primary Care Physicians to deliver high-quality medical care in secure correctional healthcare settings across California. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare services to underserved populations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professional ethics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current license to practice medicine in the State of California (MD or DO)
• Board Certified in Primary Care or a related specialty
• Valid ACLS Certification
• Valid DEA Certification
• Active and ongoing credentialing status
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Experience Requirements

• Primary Care: Minimum of 12 continuous months of experience within the last 3 years
• Specialized Roles (Emergency Medicine, Surgery, etc.): At least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in the respective specialty
• OB/GYN Roles (female facilities): Minimum of 1 year of OB/GYN experience within the last 3 years

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the physician’s scope of practice and facility policies
• Complete all required documentation, medical records, and treatment plans promptly and accurately
• Order and coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty referrals (with prior authorization when necessary)
• Participate in case reviews, peer evaluations, and internal audits as requested
• Prescribe medications in accordance with the facility’s formulary (or with appropriate prior approval)
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, medical ethics, and institutional safety policies
• Ensure no experimental or investigational treatments are administered without proper approval
