Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients 0-21 yrs, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all physician functions within the boundaries of state licensure, as required
  • Interprets medical data responsibly for each of his/her patients and applies evidence-based medicine guidelines provided by the AMA, ADA, AHA, CDC, DOH, and other authoritative bodies
  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
  • Creates, maintains, and protects patient files, records, and other information in the electronic health record
  • Compiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records used in a variety of initiatives, including quality improvement and patient satisfaction
  • Maintains strict confidentiality as required by law
  • Treats staff, visitors, and patients with dignity and respect
  • Performs other related work as required
  • Provides direct patient primary care and develops an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses
  • Evaluates the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, assesses the data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the necessary information needed to identify teach patients requirements relative to his or her ages specific needs
  • Coordinated the care and provides management to other team members on a defined group of patients
  • Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner meeting all required and regulatory standards. This includes but is not limited to patient assessment, education, medication administration, treatments, and patient safety
  • Practices effective problem identification and resolution with clinical staff
  • Delegates tasks and duties to clinical staff in accordance with the patient's needs and the team member's capabilities and qualifications
  • Communicates appropriate information regarding patient condition or concerns to other health care team members
  • Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with staff, volunteers, and patients
  • Attends staff development in-services and meeting and help guide clinical teamin practicing the highest standard of patient care
  • Demonstrates caring practices by providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families
  • Integrates patient and family education throughout delivery of care
  • Participates in process improvement activities with management and care coordination team
  • Demonstrates awareness of legal issues and patients' rights
  • Resolve conflicts productively and efficiently

Qualifications

Education/training:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
  • Academy of Pediatrics Board certified.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
  • DEA number and FL Medicaid provider number (Active Certifications) Individual NPI #. Possession of valid Florida Driver's license
  • Bilingual is a plus

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical practice and care

  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
  • Ability to provide a variety of appropriate treatments and medications
  • Skill in developing and maintaining clinical quality assurance

  • Ability to document appropriately in the electronic medical record
  • Utilizes the electronic health record as part of the patient care process
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedure
  • Ability to use good reasoning and judgement and react calmly in emergency situations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, co-workers, and the public
  • Ability to read, Write, and communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a team-based, patient-centered environment
  • Proficiency in the operation of a computer keyboard and/or other input device
  • Participates in administrative duties and team meetings
  • Participates in on-call schedule in responsive and timely manner
  • Supervises mid-level providers
  • Utilizes resources effectively and practices medicine in a cost-effective manner
  • Applies evidence-based medicine in daily practice based on guidelines provided by the AMA, ADA, AHA, CDC, DOH, and other authoritative bodies
  • Actively works with and directs the care team to ensure high quality, timely, patient-centered approach to care.

Physical abilities:

  • Stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, sit, stoop and stretch
  • Have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record prepare, and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
  • Maintain unrestricted medical license
  • Maintain board certification
  • Maintain BLS and/or ACLS certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $190,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
