Job Description: Cambridge Primary Coordinator

Location : Bachupally

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning aligned with Cambridge International’s framework.
  • Provide academic and pedagogical leadership to primary teachers.
  • Act as a liaison between the school and Cambridge International (e.g., for assessments, professional development, compliance).

Key Responsibilitie:

Curriculum Leadership

  • Oversee the planning, mapping, and implementation of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
  • Review and adapt schemes of work, lesson plans, and units to meet Cambridge standards.
  • Assessment & Data Analysis
  • Coordinate Cambridge assessments (progression tests, checkpoint, etc.).
  • Handle registrations, exam logistics, and invigilation
  • Analyze student performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Teacher Support & Professional Development
  • Identify training needs in Cambridge pedagogy and assessment for primary teachers.
  • Organize and lead teacher workshops, coaching sessions, and peer observations.
  • Mentor and guide teachers in designing lessons, differentiating instruction, and aligning with Cambridge standards.
  • Quality Assurance & Monitoring
  • Conduct classroom observations to monitor teaching quality and provide feedback.
  • Implement internal academic reviews, action plans, and follow-up to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambridge policies, standards, and requirements.
  • Liaison with Cambridge International
  • Act as the school’s point of contact for Cambridge International for all primary program-related matters.
  • Maintain Cambridge documentation, records, and accreditation / action plan evidence.
  • Stay updated with Cambridge syllabus changes, updates, and professional development opportunities.
  • Student Support & Progression
  • Monitor student progress, identify students needing support or extension, and coordinate interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with learning support / inclusion teams (SEN, EAL) to ensure differentiated learning.
  • Communicate student progress to parents and stakeholders;
  • lead parent-teacher interactions regarding Cambridge curriculum.
  • Administration & Coordination
  • Manage academic-administrative tasks: academic calendar, assessment timetable, teacher schedules.
  • Coordinate events related to Cambridge Primary (e.g., curriculum showcases, open days, parent workshops).
  • Maintain records, reports, and documentation for inspections and school leadership.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and development, especially in primary curriculum growth.
  • Develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the Cambridge Primary program and track progress.
  • Lead and manage curriculum change initiatives in alignment with school vision and Cambridge requirements.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with parents to explain Cambridge philosophy, assessment methods, and student progress.
  • Communicate with school leadership, teachers, and administrative staff to ensure effective execution of the Cambridge Primary program.
  • Represent the school in Cambridge-related external forums / meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field;
  • Proven experience (for example, 3–5 years or more) in a Cambridge school / Cambridge curriculum environment.
  • Experience in academic coordination, curriculum leadership, or teacher mentorship.
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge Primary curriculum, assessment models, and teaching standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Foundit
  • Analytical skills to interpret assessment data and drive instructional improvements.
  • Intercultural competency, especially in international / multicultural school settings.
