Job Description: PRT Teacher (Upto Class 5)

Position Overview

The PRT Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate, and student-centered classroom instruction to learners from Nursery to Class 5. The role includes planning lessons, maintaining discipline, fostering holistic development, and contributing proactively to school initiatives aligned with the values and ethos of Gurukul The School.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive and child-centric lessons for primary classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Build foundational skills in language, numeracy, and environmental awareness through activity-based learning.
• Maintain a warm, supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and discipline.
• Conduct regular evaluations, check notebooks, and maintain student progress records.
• Communicate with parents regarding academic and behavioral development through PTMs and updates.
• Coordinate with co-teachers and participate in school events, assemblies, and enrichment activities.
• Use basic digital tools, teaching aids, and hands-on materials to support primary learning.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of English communication (spoken & written).
• Classroom management and child psychology understanding.
• Creativity in teaching methods and lesson planning.
• Patience, empathy, and a child-centric approach.
• Basic proficiency in computer operations and smart-class tools.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (mandatory).
• B.Ed / D.El.Ed (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in teaching primary grades (preferred).
