Job Purpose
The Primary Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in accordance with the British Curriculum and the school’s policies and procedures. The teacher will create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and abilities of students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and educational technologies effectively.
- Promote creativity, critical thinking, and independent learning among students.
2. Classroom Management
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and behavior management.
- Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage positive relationships and mutual respect among students.
- Ensure students follow school rules and expectations at all times.
3. Assessment & Student Progress
- Assess, record, and monitor student progress regularly.
- Prepare and administer class assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare report cards.
- Identify students requiring additional support or intervention.
4. Curriculum Planning
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.
- Participate in curriculum review and development activities.
- Ensure lessons are delivered according to curriculum objectives and standards.
5. Student Welfare & Safeguarding
- Promote the well-being and safety of all students.
- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies strictly.
- Report any concerns related to student welfare immediately.
- Support students’ emotional and social development.
6. Communication & Parent Partnership
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership.
7. Professional Development
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and educational practices.
- Participate actively in school improvement initiatives.
8. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, assessment data, and student files.
- Support school activities, assemblies, trips, and extracurricular programs.
- Carry out duties assigned by the Head of Primary or Principal.
Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR9,000.00 per month
