Primary Teacher (Computers)

Position: PRT Computer Science (Grades 1–5 CBSE)
Location: Guru Rajendra Jain International School

Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic PRT Computer Science Teacher to teach Grades 1 to 5 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should introduce young learners to foundational computer skills, digital literacy, and basic coding concepts in a fun, safe, and engaging manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate Computer Science lessons for Grades 1–5 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
  • Teach basic computer operations, parts of a computer, MS Office fundamentals, typing skills, and safe internet practices.
  • Introduce foundational coding concepts through visual/block-based platforms and logical thinking activities.
  • Develop students’ digital literacy, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills.
  • Conduct practical sessions in the computer lab and ensure proper usage of equipment.
  • Promote awareness of cyber safety, digital responsibility, and ethical use of technology.
  • Design and evaluate classwork, lab assignments, projects, and formative assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and provide additional support where required.
  • Maintain lesson plans, lab records, and assessment documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining discipline and safety standards in the computer lab.
  • Participate actively in school events, exhibitions, and technology-related activities.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT or related field with D.El.Ed / B.Ed (mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in primary classes at a CBSE or equivalent school (Computer Science preferred).

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of basic computer applications and child-friendly coding platforms.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for young learners.
  • Good classroom and lab management skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in smart classroom tools and digital teaching platforms.

Accommodation & Facilities

  • Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff.
  • Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary.
  • School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted.
  • Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
