Position: PRT Science (Grades 1–5 CBSE)
Location: Guru Rajendra Jain International School

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, curious, and engaging PRT Science Teacher to teach Grades 1 to 5 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should be able to foster scientific thinking, nurture curiosity, and help young learners explore the world around them through observation, experimentation, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver interactive Science lessons for Grades 1–5 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
  • Teach foundational scientific concepts related to plants, animals, the human body, materials, air, water, weather, force, energy, and basic environmental awareness.
  • Encourage inquiry-based and experiential learning through simple experiments, demonstrations, projects, and hands-on activities.
  • Develop students’ observation, questioning, reasoning, and analytical skills.
  • Use teaching aids, models, charts, real-life examples, and smart classroom tools to enhance understanding.
  • Integrate practical activities and cross-curricular connections where appropriate.
  • Design and evaluate classwork, homework, worksheets, and formative assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and provide additional support to students who require reinforcement.
  • Maintain lesson plans, student records, and assessment documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and development.
  • Participate actively in school events, science exhibitions, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably with a Science background) with D.El.Ed / B.Ed (mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in primary classes at a CBSE or equivalent school.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of primary-level Science concepts and child-centered pedagogy.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and make learning engaging and practical.
  • Creative and hands-on teaching approach.
  • Patience, empathy, and effective classroom management skills.
  • Basic proficiency with digital tools and smart classroom technology.

Accommodation & Facilities

  • Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff.
  • Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary.
  • School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted.
  • Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
