Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal AI Engineer with strong fintech or banking domain expertise to lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale AI solutions. The candidate will drive AI innovation initiatives focused on digital banking transformation, intelligent automation, fraud prevention, customer intelligence, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of enterprise AI/ML and Generative AI platforms.
• Design scalable AI solutions for banking and fintech use cases including fraud detection, AML, customer insights, and automation.
• Define AI strategy, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
• Build and optimize LLM-based systems, AI agents, and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, compliance, and risk teams to identify AI opportunities.
• Oversee deployment, governance, monitoring, and optimization of AI systems.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, regulatory, and ethical AI standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with leadership experience.
• Mandatory experience in fintech, banking, or financial services domain.
• Deep expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ML frameworks, and AI architecture.
• Strong experience with LLMs, RAG, NLP, AI agents, and Generative AI ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and MLOps practices.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise AI systems and secure financial integrations.
• Strong understanding of banking compliance, data governance, AML/KYC, and cybersecurity standards.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading AI transformation initiatives within banks or fintech organizations.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, model explainability, and AI governance frameworks.
• Experience with payment systems, digital banking platforms, or financial risk analytics.
