Wood is currently seeking a Principal Contracts to support our projects business. The role involves contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility at a remote site in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage vendor contracts from award through full execution, ensuring compliance with project and organisational requirements.
  • Review and evaluate contract deliverables, variations, change orders, and claims to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure that commercial and contractual terms are fully aligned with project, company, and client requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface between vendors, engineering teams, procurement, and client representatives to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
  • Support internal and external audits, supplier performance evaluations, and contract close out processes.
  • Monitor contract milestones, schedules, and financial obligations to ensure timely delivery and accurate reporting.
  • Identify potential risks and support mitigation strategies related to vendor performance and contract compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in contract management within EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong background in managing OEM and equipment supply contracts; experience with technology provider vendors or equivalent suppliers is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing commercial and contractual documentation.
