Principal Energy Systems Analyst

Duties:

Enhance high-impact energy systems modeling (ESM) by working with internal and external partners to map the ESM landscape, building and activating influential networks, garnering insights in various ESMs and their outputs, and supporting the technical operation of ESMs. Duties: design energy systems modeling projects that illuminate key questions around technology and innovation; provide technical insight for operation and interpretation of models (data management, model manipulation/operation, collation of model outputs); develop reports and presentations to communicate the outputs of modeling efforts to technical and non-technical audiences; support efforts to bring together key energy systems modeling stakeholders and corresponding energy systems analyses; assess prospective markets, sponsors, and partners. Remote worksite available (in domestic U.S.).

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Energy Science/Policy or Engineering
• 5 years experience conducting applied technical modeling related to energy systems and markets and working with large data sets; conducting life cycle analyses; conducting research and analytics on low-carbon energy technologies like hydrogen; working with various energy-sector stakeholders, and state and federal regulatory/policy frameworks; and researching hydrogen supply chains and hydrogen emissions

Salary:

$137,000-142,000 per year
