Principal (Head of School)

Role Overview

The Head of School will be responsible for independently leading, establishing, and scaling an upcoming CBSE school, ensuring academic excellence, CBSE compliance, staff leadership, and operational stability while reporting directly to the Management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic & CBSE Leadership

Lead academic planning, curriculum implementation, and assessment as per CBSE norms and guidelines.

Ensure compliance with CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, inspections, documentation, and reporting.

Drive academic excellence, teacher mentoring, and continuous improvement practices.

Oversee board readiness, internal assessments, and academic audits.

2. School Operations & Administration

Independently manage day-to-day school operations for an upcoming CBSE school with approx. 500 students.

Establish systems, SOPs, policies, and discipline frameworks.

Coordinate infrastructure readiness, safety, transport, and statutory compliances.

Act as the primary liaison between school operations and Management.

3. Staff Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.

Build a stable, motivated, and performance-oriented school team.

Conduct regular staff meetings, classroom observations, and professional development initiatives.

Support recruitment and onboarding of faculty as the school grows.

4. Student & Parent Engagement

Ensure holistic student development (academic, emotional, co-curricular).

Handle parent communication, grievance redressal, and community engagement.

Promote a child-centric, safe, and inclusive school environment.

5. Strategic Growth

Support school expansion plans, student enrolment growth, and reputation building.

Align school practices with NEP 2020 and contemporary education standards.

Represent the school during inspections, audits, and external forums.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kalyan, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:
