BurnBot provides systematic fuels treatment services to prevent destructive wildfires. We're firefighters, scientists, engineers, prescribed fire practitioners, ecologists, and community members who are answering the call to scale fuel treatment capacity. Our modern fuel treatment system recognizes and supports conservation efforts with a clean, smoke-free process. We need technology to amplify our workforces with targeted use of synthetic fire to treat fuel loads 10x faster than previously possible.
The Role
BurnBot is seeking a Program Lead to join our rapidly growing Programs team. This role will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished on time and on budget. The ideal Principal Program Lead will successfully lead multiple projects, have strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients or business partners. This role is both a field and hub (workshop) based.
This position is an exempt role with an annual salary range of $90,000-$115,000. However, we do consider many factors when creating job offers, including (but not limited to), the role, location, responsibilities, experience, training, education, and skillset.
Required Skills
Oversee and supervise various field projects and support programs functions
Support job walks and field verification for proposal building
Track Quality Control and Contract Compliance for internal BurnBot Operations and all Subcontractor operations on relevant enterprise and programs contracts
Provide clerical support for Programs and assigned enterprise contracts
Maintain day-to-day relationship touchpoints at the site/project level
Capture issues early; escalate effectively through Central Ops / Regions / subs
Maintain project artifacts: scope clarity, maps/GIS inputs, schedule, acceptance checklist
May assist with duties associated with regional build-out such as demos and operations on small strategic projects that are within the scope of programs
Ensure project status is current, auditable, and communicated in the standard cadence
Provide enterprise surge support as an out-of-region assistant (as needed)
Other duties as assigned
Comply with all state and federal regulations, safety or otherwise
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in experience
Minimum 5 years experience in project or field management in Forestry, wildland firefighting and/or prescribed fire fields
Valid driver's license
Utilize personal knowledge to resolve issues and ability to discern when to seek assistance for efficient, effective resolutions
Excellent customer service skills. Including listening, responding and assisting with a positive, of service mindset
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
Physical ability to lift/push/pull weights of up to 100 lbs with regularity
Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach, grasp and climb various surfaces and heights for 8+ hours per day
