The Principal Programmer Analyst II will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications and solutions that support Skyworks’ operations and enterprise systems. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications tailored to business needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development & Integration
• • Design, develop, and maintain custom applications for operations and enterprise workflows.
  • Implement robust integrations between ERP systems, MES, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure applications adhere to best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
• Technical Leadership
• • Serve as a subject matter expert for custom application development and Foundry-related solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending adoption where appropriate.
• Business Analysis & Solution Design
• • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop functional and technical documentation for custom solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with business objectives and compliance standards.
• System Support & Optimization
• • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues in production environments.
  • Optimize existing applications for performance and maintainability.

Implement monitoring and alerting for critical applications.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, Python, and scripting tools.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and database optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MES systems integration.
• Familiarity with Foundry operations, manufacturing workflows, and semiconductor industry processes.
• Expertise in API development, RESTful services, and middleware integration.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards (SOX, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
