Principal Sustainability Consultant

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, energy transition, climate change, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and frameworks. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects, conducting research, developing project plans and proposals, and providing expert guidance to clients. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and technical writing skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Manage and execute sustainability and ESG-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, proposals, and reports.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Present research, insights, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sustainability and ESG.
• Collaborate across teams to support business development activities.
• Assist senior executives in strategic growth initiatives.
• Integrate multi-disciplinary insights to provide compelling analysis and solutions.

Client Engagement:

• Understand client requirements and define project scope and deliverables.
• Lead project delivery and client meetings with guidance from senior executives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Apply engineering expertise (Bachelor’s/Master’s level) to solve sustainability, energy, and climate challenges.
• Work with data scientists to manage and analyze client emissions data.
• Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Utilize data analytics tools to support sustainability reporting and decision-making.

Communication & Writing:

• Prepare high-quality reports, research papers, and presentations.
• Effectively communicate technical and complex information to diverse audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency in technical writing and research.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks, sustainability regulations, and data analytics tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹27,000.00 per month
