JOB Description:

Position: Principle Tooling Engineer

Location: Sri City

Experience: 5-10 Notice Period : 30-45 Days

Work Mode- Onsite - 6 Days

Key Responsibilities:

Tooling Engineer – Aerospace tool selection & optimization:

● Select appropriate cutting tools (carbide inserts, drills, end mills, taps, reamers, boring bars, etc.) for CNC turning and milling machines.

● Optimize cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut) & reduce cycle time through tooling improvements.

● Conduct tool trials and validation for new products.

● Monitor tool life and consumption & implement tool life improvement strategies.

● Maintain tool offset and correction records & analyze tool failure and recommend corrective actions.

● Coordinate with tooling suppliers & compare quotations and recommend cost-effective tools.

● Maintain minimum stock levels & control tooling cost per component.

● Work on cost reduction projects &implement lean manufacturing concepts.

● Participate in productivity improvement initiatives.

● Ensure tools meet drawing specifications.

● Support quality audits & maintain safety standards in the tool room.

KPIs / Performance Indicators:

● Tooling cost per component

● Tool life improvement %

● Machine downtime reduction

● Rejection reduction due to tooling issues

● Inventory control accuracy
