Print Production Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Print Production Specialist to join our creative manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end production of high-quality printed materials,. Your expertise in Large Format printing and prepress processes will be vital in transforming creative concepts into vibrant, tangible products.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HP 550, HP 560, Colex and Summa cutters, and other production tools to produce high-quality printed materials.
• Prepare digital files using graphic design skills and Adobe Ilistrator software, ensuring files are optimized for printing with precise layout design and typography.
• Manage color calibration and color management processes to guarantee consistent color reproduction across all printed outputs.
• Conduct prepress activities such as file checking, plate making, and proofing to ensure accuracy before mass production begins.
• Perform quality control inspections throughout the production process to identify and resolve issues related to print quality, alignment, or material defects.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to schedule production runs, operate forklifts when necessary for material handling, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Implement machining techniques when required for custom fabrication or finishing of printed products.
• Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine maintenance logs, and quality control reports to support continuous improvement efforts.

Experience

• Proven experience in print production environments with a strong understanding of screen printing, flexo press operation, and CNC machining.
• Skilled in prepress processes including file preparation, layout design, typography, and color management using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles related to print advertising and custom product creation.
• Familiarity with quality control standards specific to printing processes and materials.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working with various substrates and materials used in print manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in layout design and print finishing procedures.
