Printing Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Printing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various printing processes, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for the printing industry and a desire to develop their skills in digital printing, graphic design, post production bindery work, and quality control. We are a 4 person team and everyone is responsible for their station within the overall assembly line of work we do here.

We work with a lot of different companies who have a variety of printing needs. We print for national brands like Tito's Handmade Vodka, Burger King and Aflac. We also print for several craft breweries like Creature Comforts Brewing Co. out of Athens, Athletic Brewing, Founders, Oskar Blues, Cigar City and more. A large part of the day to day is taking care of our beverage client's needs.

We also do extensive work with local law firms, construction companies, churches and supplemental health insurance companies.

Every day is different, every week is different. You'll work as part of a team, but also independently. The ideal candidate is someone looking for a long term career. This job starts part time and goes full time after a trial period which will include basic onboarding and training. Experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Driving to local vendors and clients is a requirement so you must have reliable and presentable transportation. You will be driving within a 20 mile radius on a semi regular basis to these vendors and clients and we will reimburse you based on mileage logged every 2 weeks.

Duties

• Collaborate with the prepress team to prepare files for production, ensuring all specifications are met.
• Conduct quality control checks on printed materials to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Participate in machining tasks as required, contributing to overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Assist and operate the bindery department. This includes any and all print finishing tasks for each unique job.
• Operating the paper cutter, paper folder, scoring, perforating, laminating etc.
• Ensuring jobs are finished and out the door on time.

Requirements

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to printing is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control practices.
• Experience with print advertising concepts is an advantage.
• Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts. Join us as we strive for excellence in the printing industry!

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
