Private Attorney

Seeking an experienced and trusted Private Personal Attorney to provide comprehensive legal services for an individual client. The ideal candidate will serve as a dedicated, high-touch legal advisor, handling matters across multiple areas of law, including criminal defense, family law, estate planning, business and contract law, real estate, civil litigation, and compliance.

This role focuses on personalized legal protection, ensuring that individual clients' interests are safeguarded, risks are mitigated, and legal matters are handled efficiently, confidentially, discreetly, and proactively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert counsel and representation in criminal law matters, including defense strategy and court representation.
• Advise and manage family law issues, such as custody, divorce, and domestic agreements.
• Develop and maintain estate planning and trust documents, including wills and succession planning.
• Provide guidance on business law matters, contracts, and agreements for personal or entrepreneurial ventures.
• Oversee real estate transactions, property management, and disputes.
• Handle civil litigation matters, including dispute resolution, claims, and lawsuits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, advising proactively to prevent legal issues.
• Act as a personal legal advocate, providing ongoing guidance and protecting the client’s interests across all areas.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant state(s).
• Proven experience across multiple legal areas: criminal law, family law, estate and trusts, business law, real estate, civil litigation, and compliance.
• Strong analytical, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and client advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• High ethical standards and commitment to protecting client interests.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing personalized, one-on-one legal counsel for high-net-worth or private clients.
• Strong network of legal, financial, and business professionals to support cross-functional matters.
• Ability to anticipate and mitigate legal risks proactively.
• Experience with virtual consultations and remote client support.

Compensation & Structure

• Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor, Retainer-Based, or Full-Time Private Counsel
• Location: Remote or in-person based on client needs
• Schedule: Flexible, based on client priorities and legal deadlines
• Compensation: Competitive, based on experience, scope, and retainer agreements
