Private Duty Nurse (RN) - Overnight Newborn Care

A loving family in San Francisco, CA (94116) is seeking a highly experienced Licensed RN to provide overnight awake care for their 2-month-old, beginning approx. July 6th.

Schedule:

July – September: 4–6 nights per week, 10pm to 6am

Note: Baby has moderate Loryngo malacia, which can cause BRUE and laryngospasm.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide awake overnight newborn care, keeping baby upright all night.
• Support feeding, diapering, soothing, and settling baby back to sleep
• Monitor infant throughout the night and ensure safe sleep environment
• Support parents in achieving rest and recovery overnight
• Maintain detailed awareness of infant wellbeing during overnight care
• Follow family guidance and newborn care best practices

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced with particular attention to reducing risk factors such as BRUE and laryngospasm, while allowing parents to rest and recover fully during the postpartum period. They are calm, vigilant, and deeply trustworthy, with exceptional attention to infant safety and overnight monitoring. This individual is confident working independently, highly reliable, and committed to providing expert-level newborn care.

Requirements:

• Licensed RN - must submit license number
• Knowledge of and experience BRUE and laryngospasm
• Extensive newborn and infant care experience required
• Must provide own accommodation if not local
• Infant CPR and First Aid certified
• Provide records or all vaccinations and boosters
• Non-smoking, and preference for no pets

Must be fully vaccinated (TDAP, TB, COVID, Boosters, Flu, Polio, MMR)

Compensation: depending on experience
