Private Equity Director

Usually describes a senior finance leader who oversees deal sourcing, diligence, execution, portfolio oversight, and exits, while also managing junior team members and stakeholder relationships.

Typical duties

  • Originate and evaluate investment opportunities, build the pipeline, and maintain market relationships.
  • Lead due diligence, financial modeling, valuation work, and deal structuring/negotiation.
  • Support or lead portfolio-company monitoring, value creation, restructuring, and exit planning.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, teasers, and reports for internal committees and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise analysts, associates, and other team members.

Common requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, often with a preference for finance, economics, business, accounting, or investment management.
  • Several years of private equity, investment banking, M&A, or related investing experience.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, including DCF, IRR, NPV, and comparable transaction analysis.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • CFA or another professional qualification is often preferred or seen as an advantage.

Pay: QAR156.00 - QAR375.00 per hour
