Private Equity Partner
Role Summary
The Private Equity Partner will lead deal origination, execution, and portfolio value creation while playing a key role in fundraising and firm leadership. The role suits a senior investment professional with a strong track record in deploying capital and exiting investments.
Key Responsibilities
Deal sourcing and pipeline
- Originate proprietary and intermediary‑led investment opportunities aligned with the fund’s strategy.
- Leverage personal network of CEOs, advisors, bankers, and industry contacts to build a high‑quality deal pipeline.
Investment execution
- Lead end‑to‑end transaction processes, including evaluation, valuation, structuring, and negotiations.
- Oversee and challenge financial models, commercial due diligence, and risk assessment prepared by the deal team.
- Present investment recommendations and lead discussions with the Investment Committee.
Portfolio value creation
- Serve as Board member or lead Board observer for selected portfolio companies.
- Partner with management teams to define and execute value‑creation plans (growth strategy, operational improvements, M&A, capital structure optimization).
- Monitor performance vs. plan and intervene where needed to protect and enhance value.
Fundraising and investor relations
- Support and lead fundraising activities with regional and international LPs.
- Represent the firm in investor meetings, AGMs, and reporting discussions.
- Contribute to developing new products / vehicles in line with market demand.
Firm leadership and governance
- Help shape overall investment strategy and sector/geography focus.
- Mentor and develop junior team members; foster a high‑performance culture.
- Uphold best‑in‑class governance, compliance, and ESG standards across investments.
Qualifications
- 12–20+ years of experience in private equity, principal investing, investment banking, or strategy/transactions roles, with at least several years at partner or equivalent level.
- Proven track record of sourcing, executing, and exiting successful investments (preferably in [insert target sectors, e.g., healthcare, consumer, infrastructure, technology]).
- Deep network across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC; experience working with SWFs, family offices, and institutional investors is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills; able to influence senior executives and boards.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills, with the ability to quickly assess risk/return and make clear investment decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills highly advantageous for Saudi‑based stakeholders.
