Private In-Home Babysitter/Nanny

Job Overview
We are looking for an engaged and involved part-time homeschool helper, perfect for retired teachers or teacher's aides. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-1 p.m. The first 3 hours will be focused on supporting a child through a pre-purchased curriculum, followed by an hour for lunch and starting chores (no supervision required). Field trips are a must. Montessori experience is a plus and qualifies for a higher pay rate. Pay is $20-$35/hr based on experience and qualifications. In-person only.

Duties

• Provide daily academic support to a homeschooled child using a pre-purchased curriculum (3 hours/day)
• Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
• Coordinate and accompany child on educational field trips
• Encourage independent learning and curiosity in a supportive environment
• Supervise lunch and initiate child’s chore time (no direct supervision required during chores)
• Communicate regularly with parent(s) about progress and daily activities

Experience

• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or classroom support (retired teachers/teacher’s aides encouraged)
• Familiarity with homeschooling or one-on-one instruction
• Montessori teaching experience preferred (qualifies for higher pay rate)
• Ability to work independently and follow a set curriculum
• Strong communication skills and patience working with children
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus
