Homeworks for Students is a private in-home tutoring company, locally owned and operated in Minneapolis since 2002. We offer one-on-one, in-home tutoring in all subjects K-College and tailored to each student's unique needs in order to help them ultimately achieve academic independence.

Who We Are Looking For

We are currently looking for tutors with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Prealgebra
• Algebra I & II
• Geometry
• Precalculus
• AP Calculus

Qualifications

• College Graduate. Education degree, teaching license or Master of Education degree (in progress or completed) highly preferred
• Teaching and/or tutoring experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Our tutors are smart and passionate about education with a desire to help others learn. Many of our tutors are in grad school; others are current teachers. Our tutors understand that no two students are alike, and each student learns in their own way!

At Homeworks, you can choose the students and schedulesthat work for you. We spend time getting to know each prospective student’s personality, academic strengths and challenges, outside interests, and availability before matching them with a tutor.

Working one-on-one in your student's home, we empower you to use your judgement, skills, and expertise to tailor tutoring sessions to your student’s individual needs!

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $65.00 per hour

Location: In-person at students' homes. We serve students across the Twin Cities Metro, including first and second-ring suburbs, so you can say yes or no the areas that work for you. You are not required to regularly come in to our Minneapolis office.

Schedule: After school, evenings, weekends. Choose your own hours.
