As a Private Investigator specializing in surveillance, you will be responsible for conducting discreet surveillance operations related to workers’ compensation fraud, auto, liability claims, and other civil or domestic investigations. You will work closely with our team of experienced investigators to plan and execute surveillance assignments across various locations in Texas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations. Candidates who are self-motivated, resourceful, and able to maintain a high level of professionalism in various situations will thrive in this position. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, as surveillance operations may occur during weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveillance operations (stationary and mobile).
- Maintain a covert presence and effectively blend into diverse environments.
- Document and report findings accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct social media research investigations
- Communicate effectively with the investigative team to coordinate surveillance efforts.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards governing investigative practices.
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion throughout all phases of the investigation.
Requirements:
- Currently licensed as a private investigator in Texas
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Exceptional report-writing skills, with the ability to articulate detailed observations effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment and technology.
- A well-maintained / reliable vehicle (preferably with tinted windows), with current comprehensive insurance and clean driving record.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods during mobile surveillance
- May need to walk, crouch, kneel, or sit for long durations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs of surveillance equipment
- Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and extended hours
- Requires strong focus, patience, and alertness
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed.
- Most investigations will begin at 6AM and may require you to leave your home between 4-5AM. Candidates who are willing to work most weekends and holidays will be prioritized in the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance related surveillance investigations or OSINT.
- Bachelors in Criminal Justice, or majoring in Criminal Justice
- Additional certifications in investigations or related fields.
- Familiarity with Texas state laws and regulations pertaining to private investigations.
